UNITAR strengthens practical diplomacy skills at sixth Global Diplomacy Bootcamp
25 August 2026, New York, USA – The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) , in partnership with Harbour Education, concluded the sixth edition of its flagship Global Diplomacy Bootcamp, bringing together a new cohort of young participants for an immersive week focused on the United Nations, multilateral diplomacy, sustainable development and practical negotiation skills.
Held from 10 to 14 August at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, the Summer 2026 Bootcamp provided participants with opportunities to engage directly with diplomats, United Nations experts and practitioners, while developing practical skills through interactive discussions, exercises and simulations.
The programme forms part of UNITAR’s commitment to strengthening the practice of diplomacy and supporting dialogue, cooperation and consensus-building among countries and stakeholders. Through programmes such as the Global Diplomacy Bootcamp, UNITAR creates opportunities for young people to exchange perspectives, develop practical skills and gain a deeper understanding of international cooperation.
